Knoxville will send two from the girls track squad to the state meet starting today. Jessica Stickel will run tonight at seven-ten in the open 400, and Katie Ayers will participate in the discus this afternoon at two. Coach Jeremy Van Engen was confident that Ayers could make a run at the state meet. He says she threw her personal best of 112 feet in last week’s Regional. Ayers is in the first flight this afternoon while Stickel will run in the first section in lane eight. On the boys side, Colton Spaur is set to run in the 200 meter preliminary, Harlan Systma runs the 400 tonight, and the Panthers will go for a third state title in the four-by-800 this evening at six.
