Thomas Earns Big 12 Academic Award

While her season was cut short with a stress fracture in her pitching wrist. Former Pleasantville Pitching Ace and current Missouri Tiger Chelsea Thomas earned an award this season. She is one of eight Missouri Softball players to be named to the Big 12 all-Academic Team this season. At the time of her injury Thomas was 12-1 on the season and had a 1.7 E-R-A. The team announced recently that Thomas took a medical red-shirt and will have an additional year of eligibility. Missouri also earned a bid into the N-C-A-A Softball Regionals and drew the number nine overall seed which means the Tigers will host a first and second round regional game.
