A Fareway Semi tractor broke down just short of Knoxville, and had to be towed to the Fareway Grocery Store in Knoxville early Saturday morning. One of Hewitt’s big tow trucks from Monroe had to be called in to pull the semi and it’s load. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Knoxville Police Department provided the escort and traffic control for the truck. The driver of the Fareway truck told KNIA KRLS news that another tractor was on the way to pick up the load, and that it was a nice day on which to break down–much preferable to a rainy, icy, or snowy one.
