Posted By News On June 20, 2010 @ 6:25 am In Today’s Local News | Comments Disabled

Marion County received a total of 1.83 inches of rain Friday. That brought the rainfall total this month to 9.72 inches; breaking the old record of 8.24 inches of rain that was set for the first 18 days of June in 1917. Normal rainfall for the first 18 days of June is 2.65 inches. Last year we received 2.87 inches. In order to set a rainfall record for the month, Marion County must receive a total of more than 12.79 inches or just over 3.07 inches more within the next 11 days, that record was set back in 1935.
