Knoxville kept number five ranked Chariton within arm’s distance all night long as the Chargers were ahead ten-to-five in the top half of the seventh inning, but they blew the game open with eight runs in the seventh and held Knoxville scoreless to win 18-5 in softball last night. Knoxville is now 10-15 on the season, and will get to see Chariton one more time this season when the two team meet in the first round of the regional July tenth in Chariton. Knoxville hosts Norwalk tonight in conference play.

The Knoxville Faith Baptist Church is holding their Vacation Bible School July 5th through 9th. The VBS will be held from 9:15 to 11:30 am each day and cost is free. The theme this year is “Seaquest” and there will be bible stories, music, games, puppets, skits, crafts, and snacks. The VBS is for kids going into 1st through 6th grade.
