Pella Christian split their baseball doubleheader with Norwalk yesterday and kept themselves in the hunt for the LHC race. The Eagles won game one 4-3 on an RBI single by Jon Holwerda in the bottom of the seventh inning. Holwerda was 3-4 at the plate. Kyle DeRonde, Bouwkam, and Curtis Rozenboom each had an RBI. Zack Zylstra got the win pitching the final three innings in relief of Tom Bouwkamp allowing just one hit while walking one and striking out one.

Norwalk took the nightcap 9-3. Tom Bouwkamp took the loss pitching three innings giving up four hits. Zach Zylstra was 2-4 at the plate, Jon Holwerda, Kyle DeRonde and Curtis Rozenboom also each had a hit. Pella Christian is now 15-6 overall on the season and 8-3 in the LHC. Their scheduled JV/Varsity doubleheader today with Grandview Park Baptist has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict with Grandview Park Baptist and will not be made up. The Eagles will host Knoxville tomorrow night.
