The cooperative effort between Marion County Public Health, Pella Family Dentistry and the I-Smile program provided over $7,000 worth of free dental care to area children earlier this month. “Give Kids a Smile” provided a variety of dental services to uninsured children, or those only covered by Medicaid.

Nearly half of the dollar amount of services provided was in preventative care for children, while an additional $1,192 dollars worth of care was for restorative services. A total of 14 dental professionals and three members of Marion County Public Health worked together to make the event on June 18th a success.
