The opening weekend of the 2010 Summer Iowa Games is less than a month away, and now is the time for teams and individuals that are planning to compete to register. Jim Hallahan, Executive Director of the Iowa Sports Foundation, says many of the registration deadlines are fast approaching, and adds that the deadline for youth soccer has even been extended to allow more young people a chance to get in. Last summer, 226 Marion County residents took part in the Summer Iowa Games, which this year is expected to draw over 15,000 athletes from across the state.
