Each year, the first full week of June is recognized as National Garden Week and Mayor Don Zoutte wants Knoxville residents to pay special attention to their lawns and gardens this week. A proclamation was read at this week’s City Council meeting that acknowledges the importance of gardening, the many contributions of the Knoxville Federated Garden Club and their work to promote conservation. Mayor Zoutte calls on all citizens to plant and trim their gardens and yards this week in an effort to improve the appearance of our community.
