Despite the hot and muggy conditions, Pella’s Central Park was still overflowing with creativity Thursday evening, as “Artapalooza” took over Thursdays in Pella. A chance to create art with sidewalk chalk, a pottery demonstration and several tables of craft materials captured the attention of the younger participants of the event; while the adults enjoyed an exhibit of the works of a local quilters’ guild and musical performances on the stage from Central College’s Chris Weaver, and the Pella City Band – which was the final performance of the summer season for the ensemble; led by Dick Redman.
