Knoxville’s independent bookstore, The Next Chapter, will host the authors of “The Drake Diner Murders” Thursday evening. Pete Hale, an author from Des Moines has teamed up with investigating officer Jim Rowley write the thrilling true story of the murder of two employees at the popular Drake Diner in Des Monies back in 1992. Tresa Mott, owner of The Next Chapter says the notorious crime is something that most Iowans are familiar with and they are looking forward to welcoming the author to Knoxville. Pete Hale will be at The Next Chapter at 6:30pm Thursday to discuss the book with those in attendance. The event is free and open to the public.
