Pella Christian baseball opens their post season tonight at home hosting Colfax Mingo in the opening round of the Class 2A District Tournament.  This game will be the second game of a doubleheader following the Pleasantville vs PCM game which starts at 5pm and the two winners will meet in the next round on Tuesday.   The Eagles hit a bit of a skid the last two weeks of the regular season dropping five of six games during a very busy stretch where theyfaced very tough competition, but they rebounded nicely winning their last three games to end the regular season 19-11 overall and 12-8 in the LHC.

The Eagles faced Colfax Mingo earlier in the season and got behind 11-1 in the top of the fifth inning when rain moved in and suspended the game and it was never made up.  Pella Christian coach Brad Rolffs says that was then and this is now and he expects a much different outcome tonight.

You can hear the Pleasantville vs PCM game at 5pm on, then the Pella Christian vs Colfax Mingo game at 6:45pm also on with Eric Gotschall calling both games.  There will be a delayed broadcast of the Pella Christian game following coverage of the races on 92.1 FM KRLS
