A meeting providing information on a variety of topics regarding farmland leasing will be held next month in Pella. Hosted by the Marion County ISU Extension, the meeting will feature Farm and Ag Management Specialist Steve Johnson and will teach attendees about current land value and cash rental rate surveys, types of lease arrangements and writing and terminating a farm lease, among other topics.

The seminar costs $20 per person or $30 per couple to register, which also covers the cost of a 90-page workbook. The farmland leasing meeting will be held Tuesday, August 3rd at 9:00 a.m. at the Comfort Inn in Pella and will last approximately two-and-a-half hours. Those planning on attending are asked to pre-register by phone on or before August 2nd to avoid a $5 late fee.
