Friday is the final day for parents to register their children for the upcoming school year at Pella Christian High School, and Principal Darryl De Ruiter says its important for area parents to understand the different financial aid options that may be available for them to help with the cost of tuition.

“If they desire a Christian education for their children, we’ll find a way to make it work financially,” said De Ruiter. “I think often times people look at the price tag of Christian education and the tuition – they’re not used to that – and they just don’t think they can afford it. I want families to know that we have financial aid assistance readily available to help them so that they can have their kids here.”

De Ruiter says Pella Christian High is offering a newly implemented incentive offer for families who have never enrolled their child at a Christian school, which will cut the cost of tuition in half for the first year and reduce it by 25 percent for the second year.

He adds that there is also state assistance available for families, based on income, and says private financial aid opportunities are also available for all families enrolling a child at Pella Christian High School. Nearly one-third of the students who attend Pella Christian High School receive some amount of financial aid. Registration for the upcoming school year can be done between 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Friday at the High School.
