The Knoxville High School baseball team will continue toward their goal of becoming class 3A state champions this afternoon. The Panthers beat the eight seeded Independence Mustangs 5-3 Tuesday afternoon and are now 25-9 on the season. They will now face fourth seed Charles City in the semifinal round at Principal Park in Des Moines. Pre-game coverage with Derek Cardwell will begin at 11:45am on KNIA/KRLS with the first pitch at noon, following a special Marion County Midday Magazine at 11:00.
