The Little Hawkeye Conference races are tight and still undetermined as we head into the final week to week and a half of action.

In baseball the title is literally up for grabs at this point. Norwalk leads the way at 11-2, Oskaloosa is 13-4 while Knoxville is 12-4 then there are three teams currently 8-7 including Pella, Pella Christian and Newton, Grinnell is 2-11 and South Tama 0-16. Norwalk has eight conference games remaining, Oskaloosa has four, Knoxville has five and Pella, Pella Christian and Newton each have six games remaining.

In softball iPella Christian has assured themselves of no worse than a share of the title, and can win it outright by beating Norwalk Tuesday night. If the Eagles would lose Tuesaday and Pella would win their final three conference games this week, then the two teams would share the title. Pella Christian leads the way at 11-2, Pella is second at 8-3, Newton and Norwalk are tied for third at 6-4, Oskaloosa is 5-5, Knoxville is 4-7. Pella Christian has just one conference game remaining Tuesday when they host Norwalk to end their regular season, they then begin post season play in Class 2A Thursday at PCM. Pella has three conference games remaining Tuesday at Knoxville, Wednesday at Norwalk and then they host Newton Thursday to finish the regular season, If Pella wins all three games and PC loses to Norwalk then Pella and Pella Christian would be co champions, if Pella Christian beats Norwalk, then the best Pella can do is finish second. Newton, Norwalk and Oskaloosa each have four conference games remaining while Knoxville has three games remaining.
