Patriotic Events Planned in Pleasantville and Bussey

Bussey, Pleasantville and Knoxville will hold their Independence Day celebration events Saturday. Activities in Bussey begin at 7am with breakfast at the Methodist Church and will continue with a hypnotist, an apple pie auction, bags tournament, live music and of course the annual parade and fireworks at dusk. Pleasantville’s festivities will begin in the morning as well and there will be fireworks at dusk at the Marion County Fairgrounds in Knoxville. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio will be in Pleasantville for the parade at 11am and the Little Big Red Radio will participate in Bussey’s parade at 10:00.

11:30am — Apple Pie Judging

2pm — Bags Tournament (registration from 1-1:45pm)
4pm — Kiddie Tractor Pull (registration at 3:30pm)
5pm-10pm — Live Music by Third Generation, Quarter Inch Jack and Phoenix
10pm — Fireworks.
All Day — Inflatables for kids, rides and concessions

12pm — Lions Club Lunch at the elementary school
1pm — Star Spangled Squad at the football field
2pm — Mutton Bustin across from the high school ball fields
