It’s not at all uncommon for a sports program to begin the season with a new head coach, but two head coaches is a little different. Such was the case this past season for the Pella Christian softball team, as Kevin Van Wyk and Nate Van Wyk assumed control of the program. Kevin Van Wyk said he thought it was a good season, in many ways, and really appreciated the effort and time committed by the girls on the team.
Nate Van Wyk added that while the way the season ended was a bit disappointing, he felt the year as a whole was a success and that the team got the most they could out of their potential. The Pella Christian softball team finished the 2010 season with an overall mark of 21-10, and at 11-3, earned a share of the Little Hawkeye Conference title.
