The Pella baseball team has faltered a bit at the end of the season, but all of that is essentially wiped away tonight when the Little Dutch take on Carlisle for the opening round of the District Tournament. Pella Head Coach Aaron Reasland says the Wildcats – which were ranked in the top ten in the state at one point this season – are a talented club, but says his team is confident in their abilities and looking forward to tonight’s game.

The Little Dutch will have the benefit of playing on their home field, as Pella was chosen as the host site for the District 13 bracket, which also includes South Tama and Grinnell. Pella and Carlisle play at 7:00 p.m. tonight, with the game broadcast live on 92.1 fm KRLS.
