Brooks Garden is now fully open to the public, however the work is not quite done yet. Park Designer Harv Sprafka as expressed that he desires to put up a six foot tall fence on the east side of the park. Sprafka says the white vinyl privacy fence will run approximately 48 feet to the north and give the site a finished look while hiding other less than desirable views and is expected to cost approximately $2,000. Sprafka reports that after completion of the park he was under budget and there is still $57.59 in the Brooks Garden account of the Knoxville Downtown Streetscape Committee and he plans to attempt to secure the additional funding after the garden’s dedication on July 24th.
