Due to the 4th of July falling on a Sunday this year, many area communities are choosing to hold their celebrations on Saturday. Several events are planned in Pleasantville Saturday beginning with a flag raising at Legion Hall at 7am followed by the Firecracker 5K, a softball tournament, parade, children’s games, live music and fireworks at dusk. There are also several events planned in Bussey Saturday and along with fireworks at the Marion County Fairgrounds in Knoxville once the sun sets. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio will be in the Pleasantville parade at 11am Saturday and the Little Big Red Radio will be in Bussey providing entertainment and making announcements.

10am — Parade
11am-12:30pm — Mike Forst Hypnotist
11:30am — Apple Pie Judging
12:30pm — Apple Pie Auction

2pm-4pm Patty Richards
2pm — Bags Tournament (registration from 1-1:45pm)
4pm — Kiddie Tractor Pull (registration at 3:30pm)
5pm-10pm — Live Music by Third Generation, Quarter Inch Jack and Phoenix
10pm — Fireworks.
All Day — Inflatables for kids, rides and concessions
