Marion County Sheriff Ron Goemaat hopes all area residents have an enjoyable Independence Day weekend and wants to remind residents to be safe on the roads.  Goemaat says during long holiday weekend there is typically extra law enforcement out patrolling the roadways and drivers need to make sure they are keeping themselves, their passengers and other motorists safe.  He says it’s always important to make sure you buckle up and don’t drink and drive.
