A team of girls from Pella is playing tonight for the State of Iowa Little League Majors softball championship. The team is sponsored by Pella Motors, and are known as Mahaska Midwest because they play in the Mahaska County Little League. They advanced to the state tournament by winning the Mahaska County district. Tonight’s opponent is Boone, who defeated Pella 6-3 in extra innings in pool play on Saturday. Game time tonight is 7:30 p.m., and the winner will advance to a regional tournament in Joplin, Missouri.
