The Knoxville Street Department will be installing various street markings this week. The 8’ wide, black and white, thermoplastic, checkered crosswalk at the intersection of Rock Island and Highway 14 will be installed, along with mid-block pedestrian symbols which will serve as advance crosswalk warnings on Main and Robinson Streets between Second and Third Streets. These installation will take place Thursday July 29th and Knoxville Public Works Director Jeff May asks that motorists slow down and be alert when driving in these areas.
