Tourism at the Vermeer Mill and Pella Historical Village made a small, but significant increase in the 2010 fiscal year, which ended Wednesday. Bonnie Verberg, Director of the Vermeer Mill and Pella Historical tells KNIA/KRLS News that though attendance was up only slightly from the 2009 fiscal year, the increase is encouraging because it marks the first year that tourism numbers have gone up since a surge of tourists visited the Vermeer Mill and Interpretive Center after it was finished in 2002.
