Though water has continued to flow out of Lake Red Rock at a rapid rate, the water’s elevation at the reservoir remains high. The lake level is just below 772 feet, which means Red Rock is still thirty feet above the normal conservation pool depth. Last year at this time, Lake Red Rock was right at that point, measuring 742.19 feet above sea level.

Out-flow at the Red Rock Dam remains swift, as water flowing from the tainter gates is above 45,000 cubic feet per second, but is expected to slowly decrease as we move into early August. Meanwhile, water is coming into the lake at a rate near 40,000 cubic feet per second, but is expected to drop off noticeably by the middle of next week.
