With 10 seniors on the team this season, Pella volleyball is blessed with amazing talent, experience, knowledge and leadership.

Coach Bob Fessler says practices have been very intense and competitive and he notes with the outstanding leadership from those 10 seniors, the team is much further ahead of where they’ve been in years past at this point of the season. He says that leadership and hard work will hopefully lead to accomplishing the high season goals they have set for themselves this season, which include winning a second straight Little Hawkeye Conference championship and equaling their undefeated conference mark from a year ago, winning their Region in the post season, and advancing to state for the fifth consecutive year. The past four years, that’s where the streak has ended however, with losses in the opening round of the state tournament each year. Fessler says the girls have made it a major goal to not only get to state this season, but contend for a state title once they do.

Pella opens their season Tuesday August 31st at home hosting Bondurant Farrar and Dallas Center Grimes.
