Around 200 children and families gathered outside the Knoxville Public Library Wednesday for an afternoon of fun. The event included a ferris wheel and train rides, face painting, spin art, parachute games, sand art, popsicles and prizes for the children. All rides and attractions were free and provided by the Knoxville Morning Kiwanis. Library Director Rosalin Thompson says the event went very well. She said the beautiful weather helped them have another great turnout and it was a great way to cap off the library’s summer programs.
