Thanks to the return of a number of proven seniors, the Pella Christian football team appears poised to be in very good position come the start of the 2010 season. Eagles’ Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski says the experience of this group of seniors has been a valuable asset early in the season.

“Our seniors are doing a great job of leading. They know what needs to be done; they can replicate game action and game speed on the practice field; they’re battle-tested; [and] attitude-wise they’ve been great,” said Kacmarynski. “I’ve just been very pleased with our seniors. We’re further ahead than we have been the last two years, and a lot of that is due to our senior leadership and just how much experience they have.”

With 12 seniors on the squad, Pella Christian returns veteran experience at nearly every key position on the field, with just enough spots left to spread around roughly 20 juniors on the team that give the Eagles a solid upper half. After winning their district and finishing with a 7-3 overall record last season, Pella Christian is expected to do well again in 2010 – even with the move to Class 2-A.
