Marion County residents who have experienced flood damage this spring and summer may be eligible for one-time food assistance, but you must act fast. Monday is the deadline for flood victims in the presidentially declared disaster areas to apply for emergency food assistance. These benefits are determined by household size with a two member household qualifying for $367 and a family of four could receive $668. The application process is simple and residents who qualify will receive the benefits almost immediately. Food emergency applications will be accepted through Monday at Department of Human Services Offices.
