The Knoxville School Board set a public hearing date in regards to the sale of the GOAL alternative school at their meeting last night. Board members discussed where the GOAL program will be moved to if the Trabert Center is sold and concluded that moving it into a separate section of Knoxville High School would be ideal. This would require some remodeling and Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack will be discussing the closing date with representatives of the Marion County ISU Extension Office. After the discussion about the future of the GOAL program and finances in the district, the board decided that the $100,000 bid from the extension office was sufficient and a public hearing will be held at the next school board meeting on August 23rd.
