An ordinance regarding micropigmentation was passed at this week’s Pella City Council meeting. Pella City Administrator Mike Nardini said the ordinance that was passed clearly defined what micropigmentation was, therefore establishing which zoning districts the service could be performed in.

Micropigmentation is a technique the uses permanent pigmentation of the skin – essentially a tattoo – for cosmetic or corrective reasons and is typically applied to the face. A request to be allowed to offer the service had been made by a Pella business owner.
