The Iowa Utilities Board has recommended that those who are having trouble paying their utilities bills contact the appropriate companies to see what options are available. Ann Thelan, Director of Communications and Media Relations at MidAmerican Energy says they work hard to provide assistance to their customers and provide a few different options, including budget billing that helps spread the billing amount out over a twelve month period in order to make it more predictable and easier to budget for. Thelan urges customers who need assistance contact MidAmerican Energy to discuss their options.
