The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum will have 15 winning cars from past Knoxville Nationals on display next week during the 50th Goodyear Knoxville Nationals. According to Executive Director Bob Baker…along with the last four cars that Donny Schatz drove to victory the museum also has Greg Weld’s car that he won the 1963 Nationals. Also on display will be, Steve Kinser’s car from 1980, Doug Wolfgang’s car from 1977, and Eddie Levitt’s 1976 winning car among others. The Hall of Fame already has Weld’s car from 1963 on display in the front window. Baker says Weld had a great year in 1963 capturing not only the Knoxville Nationals, but also the Knoxville Track Championship and the Olympic Stadium Track title in Kansas City.
