One person was transported to the hospital after a motorcycle accident southwest of Pleasantville yesterday evening. The Pleasantville Police Department, Pleasantville Fire and Rescue and Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the single vehicle motorcycle accident at the intersection of 28th Avenue and Highway G-40 shortly after 7pm Wednesday. According to a preliminary investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, 50 year old Melissa Denise Chumbley of Milo was traveling westbound on G-40 when she missed the curve at 28th Ave and flipped once into the ditch. Chumbley was transported via ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Des Monies. The accident remains under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
