An ordinance adjusting the speed limit on East Vermeer Road was adopted at Tuesday’s Pella City Council meeting. The ordinance maintained the current 25 mile per hour speed limit from East 8th to East 13th streets, while reducing the speed limit from 45 to 35 miles per hour from East 13th Street, out to 240th Place. The adoption was the final step in a lengthy discussion on the issue, which had been re-addressed most recently in the fall of 2009.
