Following a very successful fall in 2009 that included a state championship on the boys’ side, the Pella Cross Country teams are hoping for another strong campaign in 2010. Little Dutch Head Coach Doug Cutler says he is again expecting around 80 total runners for both the boys and girls squads, something he is excited about.
Cutler acknowledges that Marion County rival Knoxville poses a very real challenge to the team duplicating last year’s success, but is looking forward to seeing how the team responds. On the girls’ side, Cutler says while some athletes chose not to return this season, he has added some new runners in their place. Official cross country practices were allowed to begin yesterday.
