As previously reported on KNIA/KRLS News, Pella Regional Health Center recently renovated its Skilled Care Unit, and those who work in the wing say the improvements are a great help in the care they provide. Zach Kanis, a physical therapist in the Skilled Care Unit explains the benefits of the new wing.
“The new renovations have allowed us to add a therapy room, which is specific to our mission to rehab our patients,” said Kanis. “This room is designed with some of the new, technical equipment to rehab our patients. It’s a great area – it’s perfect for the patient that needs a little bit more time to rehab before they return home.”
The Skilled Care Unit at Pella Regional features 15 rooms, including eleven private rooms, and began accepting patients in December of last year.
