Pella’s Indoor Pool will be closed, beginning Wednesday, while repairs are made to the facility’s roof. The duration of the closure is not known at this time, though it will be open no later than October 31st. Pella’s Outdoor Aquatic Center closed on Monday, and Administrative Services Director Jenny Hesseltine tells KNIA/KRLS News that both facilities will remain closed to the public during the time of construction.

Last week, the Pella City Council approved a contract in for $391,000 to Academy Roofing and Sheet Metal out of Des Moines for the removal of the existing roof and its replacement with a PVC roof. Hesseltine says the City of Pella will notify KNIA/KRLS News as information is made available on a re-opening date of the Indoor Pool.
