Emergency service agencies in Marion County are formally creating an agreement for mutual assistance in emergency situations. On Tuesday night, Pella’s Police and Fire Departments added their name to the list of members of the Marion County Emergency Response Association.

All parties involved in the association will provide emergency medical and fire and rescue assistance when needed on a reciprocal basis. While this unwritten agreement has been in place for years, the 28E agreement establishes liabilities and responsibilities of costs.
