Pella XC Coach Looks Forward to Season’s First Meet

A season with a lot of potential begins this afternoon for the Pella cross country teams.  The Little Dutch open the season at Southeast Polk High School, and Head Coach Doug Cutler says he thinks the competition and format of the meet makes it a good way to start the season.

“It’s a real nice opportunity, because there’s just one boys race and one girls race – we don’t have to designate Varsity and JV – and its a nice thing for all the athletes to run together,” says Cutler.  “We’ll see some great competition at the meet.  We’ll see Knoxville right away, as well as Indianola and some other ranked teams.”

The Southeast Polk Invitational begins at 5:00 p.m. this evening.
