Nine Iowa vendors will participate in a wine, beer and cheese tasting reception at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum this afternoon. The inaugural “Red, Wheat and Bleu” event will feature several six wineries, two cheeseries and one brewery. This year’s participants are Peace Tree Brewing Company of Knoxville, Whispering Pines Winery of Keosauqua, Winneshiek Wildberry Winery of Decorah, Covered Bridges Winery of Winterset, Snus Hill Vineyard and Winery of Madrid, Summerset Winery of Indianola, Corning Winery, Reichert’s Dairy Air of Knoxville and Maytag Dairy Farms of Newton. Attendees will be able to sample products from all nine vendors for the price of regular admission to the museum at $4 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. The “Red, Wheat and Bleu” event will take place on the second floor of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum from 12:30-3:30pm.
