The 2010 Iowa State Fair concluded Sunday and several Marion County residents left with awards. As previously reported, Knoxville resident and Marion County Fair Queen Lacy Stevenson was crowned this year’s Iowa State Fair Queen and her steer was chosen as the Governor’s Choice for the annual charity show. Other first place finishers include Phil Dicks of Knoxville in the Cooking Fast, Healthy and Tasty competition, Angus Champion Reed McCormick of Pleasantville and several cooking awards for Jenny Peterson of Knoxville.
