Different team..same driver..same result.. for the second consecutive year Sammy Swindell won the annual Front Row Challenge in Oskaloosa last night.

There were a total of 31 cars signed in to race. The night began with Cale Conley setting a new track record in qualifying at 15.222. Heat race winners included Swindell, Fred Rahmer, and Cap Henry and Johnathan Allard won the B Main. The King of the Hill race came down to Tyler Walker and Joey Saldana and the two raced side by side for two laps with Saldana inching Walker at the line to earn the pole position. Saldana then accepted the challenge to start from the back of the 24 car feature and was offered $55,000 if he could win it from there. Walker started on the pole of the 25 lap feature and led most of the race but Saldana was on a mission and moving to the front quickly. A caution on lap three for Daryn Pittman saw Saldana already up to 11th. On lap 10 Swindell passed Walker for the lead however a caution for Johnathan Allard gave the lead back to Walker..Saldana was up to eighth. At this point with 15 laps to go there were only 14 cars left on the track and Saldana could smell victory, however he would spin out on the restart and head to the pits finishing 14th. Walker continued to lead, but blew a left rear tire with four laps remaining giving Swindell the lead which he held to the finish. Paul McMahan was second followed by David Gravel, Brad Sweet and Brooke Tatnell rounded out the top five driving the 98 car of Erin Crocker.

Tonight action continues at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa when the wings come off for the USAC Ultimate Non Wing Challenge featuring the best non wing drivers in the country plus several winged drivers that will also join the field and take a chance at the one night stand for 15 grand.
