Central College’s defending Iowa Conference champion men’s golf squad debuts at number 25 in the Golf World/Nike preseason Division III coaches’ poll. The Dutch tied for 17th at the NCAA Division III tournament in May and returns three of the five golfers who made that trip. No other Iowa Conference schools are ranked. Central, under first-year coach Chad Green, opens its fall schedule at the Mount Mercy Cropper Classic at Hunter’s Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Rapids this weekend Saturday and Sunday.
