City of Pella Looking For Volunteers

The city of Pella needs volunteer help in order to get a new playground installed at Caldwell Park. Volunteers are needed to both prepare the site and to build the new structure this week. On Friday from 10am to 5pm volunteers will be helping to dig post holes, set concrete blocks and tamp down aggregate. Then on Saturday from 7am to 6pm volunteers will be doing a variety of tasks including erecting the new play sets, installing the surface perimeter, concrete work, spreading wood chips, site cleanup and lunch helpLunch will be provided on both days but the city is asking volunteers to bring wheel barrels, rakes and shovels to use in the project.
