Summer is over and the leaves are about to start changing in Marion County as the fall colors should start to show in the next two weeks. Marion County Naturalist Marla Mertz tells KNIA/KRLS News that Oak leaves have already started turning and within the next couple of weeks the rest of the trees will begin to turn as well. Mertz adds that due to the very cool evenings and moisture experienced so far, this fall may not be as colorful as others. Mertz also says that if you are interested in seeing the fall colors you should get out in the country or visit one of the many parks around Lake Red Rock.
