Newton comes to Knoxville for a football contest Friday night. The Cardinals have been a Central Iowa Metro League for decades, and now Newton is a 3A team playing district football. Knoxville coach troy rider never got to play against Newton while he was an assistant at Dowling Catholic but knows all about Newton’s tradition.
