A few minutes after Friday night’s game with Norwalk, the Knoxville Football Squad presented Activities Director Randy Wilson with the game ball. Coach Troy Rider and the team had decided win or lose the game ball was going to Wilson. Rider says it was in part to show their appreciation to Wilson for what he does for Knoxville and to show that they are thinking about him after a tough week. Wilson’s brother has been in the hospital with health issues, and during last week graffiti was found spray painted on the Randy Wilson Track. Rider adds after a week like Wilson had he just wanted to show how much they appreciated his hard work. In related news, player Jake Stearns is recovering after suffering a concussion during the game on Friday. Rider says he was taken to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics for observation, and according to Rider, Stearns suffered a concussion and no significant injury to his neck. Stearns will sit out at least a week for heal the concussion.
