The Knoxville School board met in regular session last night. At the meeting the district’s new exchange student from Moldova introduced herself and gave a presentation on her home country and how things are going in Knoxville thus far. Secondly, the board reviewed and approved the annual financial report as presented by Business Manager Craig Mobley. Next the board also received information on what it would take to build an auditorium in the district and granted Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack permission to approach the Knoxville City Council about possibly building a community structure in cooperation with the city. In addition, building principals reported on what they are doing in their schools to prevent bullying, harassment, tobacco, drug and alcohol use and discussed possible options for the location of the GOAL alternative school if the board decides to sell the Trabert Center at the October 12th meeting.
